Managerial Accounting Class: Session 2&3

It has been a while since my last post. Hectics with activities and doing lots of thinking regarding the development of my students as well as my own.

 

I was thinking of having another official blog to promote my business. InsyaAllah, with God's will there will be one. Actually I have created new logo for FACT but due to my fear whether it is against the law publishing the logo without paying to the service provider has stop me from doing so. Am I a law abiding citizen? hehe

 

Seems like I'm deviating from my original topic....

 

Actually, I just want to share my stories travelling down south to Johor Bahru attending my MA class. It was a tiring one. Firstly, I went to pick up the MA books ordered by my students. Eight of them. My students failed to get them as Johor Bahru has very few bookstores. Eight is less than ten but the weight of those books are tonnes!

Since I enjoying my career as educator, I just pray hoping that good deeds will be rewarded.....

Somehow, when thinking of doing some profit....I think the next time around I will charge an extra of RM10 per piece. At least I covers my difficulties carrying those things. I also want to bring some car stickers and sell those too. Hahahahaha! Ok students.....just wait for another session on 9th November!

As an overall conclusion, the class was terrific. If it was not for them then it was for me. Of course, it was a tiring one and we did it. I gave them some exercises from the books and asked them to submit before the next session begins.

Managerial Accounting Class

Just arrived from Johor Bahru attending Managerial Accounting class. The class was held in Malaysia Productivity Corporation, Bandar Baru Uda, Johor Bahru. It was good and the class was going well. Before this, I have not stood up lecturing for 4 hours straight. During the last hour of the class, I suffered pain on both of my legs. At that moment, I realized that I have not standing and lecture for that 4 hours straight many moons ago.

But, I enjoyed every moment as long as the students were happy and asking questions. They also did not realized when I actually glanced at my watch wondering when to stop for a break!

Owh! I nearly forgot to share the travelling information as I spent a night at Orange Inn and the charged was rather expensive for that small deluxe room. Thinking the travelling days I had during my attachment with ICCE, the room was cozy and the allowance was not bad. History huh!

Do not feel sad.....as I am moving forward!!!!

Establishing a Company

Having a company is a good thing. There is a lot of things can be done through a legal entity, from smallest business to even huge business transactions. But, I'm not going to elaborate on this as the idea of having a business muchly depends on ones objective. Retirement plan, wealth creation, money laundering and many more.
Below are the typical thinking/perception of some people about business....

1. When we own a business, we can do whatever we want......
2. When we own a business, we should be driving a good car....(image factor)
3. When we own a business, we need to put good position on our business card
4. When we start a business, we need funds as start ups......definitely making a loan
5. When we start a business, we need to start with transactions of high margins...
6. When we are in business, we need to have assistance...
7. When we are in business, we should always win in a negotiation...

Positive people think differently, rational people also think differently even greedy people think differently. Again, ask ourselves, what is our objective in doing business?.......

My PLKN Trip 3

Our last and closing camp was in Selama, Perak about 52km from Gunung Semanggol. We stopped for lunch at Bagan Serai (I think) and finally reached the camp half an hour before showdown. The event was great even though the rain was pouring heavily. Luckily we have delivered our part before the rain started. The best part was the 'closing ceremony' (if I can put it that way), they sang a very nice Malaysian song which I didn't remember the title of that song. Surely, I will upload the video clip as soon as I learn how to do it on this blog. Hahahaha!

My PLKN Trip 2

Our second camp for this trip was in Semanggol, Perak. It was located just behind Bukit Merah Laketown Resort but we have made quite a big round to reach the destination as we followed the GPS. I just delivered a simple, short and sweet presentation and again the response was tremendous!.

My PLKN Trip 1

My recent PLKN trip was terrific! The first camp was in Bukit Besar, Kulim, Kedah. We departed quite early from the hotel and was the first group to arrive there. The wira and wirawati were fantastic. The response was so good. Me and my team were sweating all over. But it was great.

Leaving to nowhere

My successor is already here and briefing has been made. My transfer letter is no where to be seen. Is it definite that I'm going back to my old position as lecturer in International Islamic College?Certainly, ICCE will not have two personnel as their main accounts people....

 Actually, I don't care. What I know now is to put my focus on the business that I'm doing as long as it relates to educating people. I'm now representing various agencies which need my expertise....

Me at PLKN camp delivering talks on the importance of English in our daily life. It was on 28th September 2013 where we have to serve two camps, one in Ayer Keroh Melaka for morning session and the other one about 40km away at camp Jasin, near Asahan, still in Melaka. It was fun!

This coming 4th and 5th October will be in Kulim, Kedah, Taiping and Semanggol in Perak. InsyaAllah I will do my very best to educate and persuade them to join the English program, not for me....but it's for them.

My Update Today

Assalamualaikum people,

Alhamdulillah and syukur to Allah swt for the constant flow of rezeki. To date, I'm preparing modules for various programs and I will be the speaker as well. How nice and alhamdulillah.... InsyaAllah, with Allah's will, below are the programs in the pipeline.....

1. Finance to Non Finance People (PNS)
2. Enterpreneurship (PNS)
3. Financial Accounting for Small Business (InHart)
4. Business Logistics (UiTM)

I'm also will be lecturing for the Bachelor Business Management Program (ICCE) for Johor chapter for the below subjects;

1. Cost and Management Accounting
2. Management Accounting

As for the consultation job, InsyaAllah I will be participating in the development of the business process of a department in one of the private university college in Kuala Lumpur.

 

Tomorrow, I will be going to Ayer Keroh and Jasin to assist ALMA Language Management in promoting English Remedial Program to PLKN participants. Gunung Semanggol and Taiping will follow suit.

 

Alhamdulillah...alhamdulillah and alhamdulillah.......Thank you Allah.
